Numalo is 28 number games in one app for iPhone and iPad. If something is not working or you have a question, email contact@chardie.co.uk and you will get a reply from the person who made it, usually within a day or two.
The 28 games
Twenty-two logic puzzles, each with exactly one answer: Sudoku, Killer Sudoku, Mathdoku, Kakuro, Skyscrapers, Futoshiki, Binary, Hitori, Number Path, Nonogram, Mines, Strike, Kakurasu, Cross Math, Sequence, Slitherlink, Tents, Light Up, Dominosa, Star Battle, Tectonic and Bridges.
Six quick games, free all day: Gauntlet (a run of quick number challenges with a perk after every floor), Drop Merge (drop tiles into columns and chain merges, 2048 style), Merge (slide and combine tiles), Blitz (sixty seconds of quick sums), Pairs (match numbers that are equal or make 10) and Target (combine tiles with + − × ÷ to hit a number).
Every game has a short guide with a worked example and tips from beginner to expert, and hints explain the reasoning behind the next step. You can also ask Siri to start any game, for example “Play Slitherlink in Numalo”.
Every puzzle has exactly one answer
Numalo generates each puzzle on your device and checks it before handing it to you, so there is always precisely one way to finish it. You never need to guess, and you will never be told a correct grid is wrong.
What is free, and what the unlock includes
Free, forever: all 28 games, quick games all day, two logic puzzles a day plus a weekend bonus, the daily challenge, Easy and Medium difficulty, two hints per game each day, and all your streaks, statistics and achievements.
Numalo Unlimited is a single payment of £4.99 (or the equivalent in your local currency) that never renews. It adds unlimited logic puzzles and hints, Hard mode in every game, auto-notes and unlimited undo, the daily archive, board themes, streak protection, themed Sequence packs, printable puzzle papers, and every future game at no extra cost. Family Sharing is enabled, so one purchase covers your Apple Family group.
Restoring a purchase
New phone, or reinstalled the app? Open More → Numalo Unlimited and tap Restore Purchases. That asks Apple what you already own, so make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account you bought it on. If you bought it through Family Sharing, the organiser's purchase needs to be shared with your group.
Common questions
My progress has not appeared on my other device
Sync uses your own iCloud. Check that iCloud Drive is switched on in Settings on both devices, that both are signed into the same Apple Account, and that both have been opened at least once while online. Sync happens when the app opens.
I lost my streak
A streak continues as long as you finish at least one puzzle each day. If you miss a day it resets. Nothing is lost apart from the count itself.
There is no sound
Check the sound toggle in Settings inside the app, and check your device is not muted. Numalo plays effects through the media volume.
Can I print the puzzles?
Yes, with Numalo Unlimited. The printable sheet is laid out as a four-page paper you can send to any AirPrint printer or save as a PDF.
How do I delete my data?
Delete the app to remove everything stored on the device. To remove synced data as well, delete Numalo's data from iCloud in your device settings.
