How to play Sequence
Spot the pattern and find the missing number.
The rules
- Each round shows a sequence with one number hidden.
- Work out the rule and type the missing number.
- Solve every round to finish the session.

Each number doubles, so the gap is 16.
Tips
- Check the differences between neighbours first. Equal gaps mean adding the same amount.
- If the gaps grow, try multiplying, squares (1, 4, 9, 16) or cubes (1, 8, 27).
- If each number is the sum of the two before it, you've found Fibonacci.
- Primes (2, 3, 5, 7, 11) and triangular numbers (1, 3, 6, 10) turn up too.
Most puzzles take 2 to 5 minutes.
