How to play Star Battle
A star-placing puzzle with a dash of battleships. Every region wants exactly one star.
The rules
- Put one star in every row, every column and every coloured region.
- No two stars may touch, not even diagonally.
- There is only one way to do it.

One star per row. Its neighbours, even diagonally, are then ruled out.
Tips
- A region that is only one row or column wide settles that line.
- The squares around a star can all be marked with dots.
- If a row can only hold its star inside one region, nothing else in that region can use another row.
Most puzzles take 5 to 15 minutes.
